The Nova Scotia Archaeology Society has established two awards to recognize excellence in the study, promotion, and stewardship of archaeological heritage resources in Nova Scotia. The Friend of Archaeology Award is given annually to a member of the public in recognition of contribution to archaeological heritage, and the John Harvey Award celebrates undergraduate student achievement.
